EIGHT TYPES OF PLEASURES (BHOGAS) THAT BIND US WITH THE MATERIAL WORLD! 

The Scriptures list eight types of Pleasures that bind us with this material world if used excessively.

Every devotee should be very careful in restricting these Pleasures.

They are:

(1) Ornaments / Jewels

(2) Pan (Betel leaves and nuts) and intoxicants

(3) Excessive Clothes beyond the need

(4) Persons of opposite gender - Excessive interaction.

(5) Perfumes

(6) Music of sense inducing nature

(7) Luxurious Bed

(8) Luxurious food.
