DIFFERENCES BETWEEN RISHIS AND MUNIS!

The rishis were those who wrote the puranas.

RISHI means THOSE WHO KNOW THE MANTHRAS.

Vedic manthras are the manthras towards the Bhagavan.

Since these manthras came out from the Rishis, the Rishis are known as those who know the manthras.

MUNI means THOSE WHO MEMORIZE WELL.

A muni always remember the welfare of the mankind and function accordingly.

They are very much concerned about our welfare.

Therefore, we can observe that the Rishis are closer to the God than Munis.
